The Kremlin has issued a stark warning to Donald Trump, suggesting that he could face an assassination attempt if he “really tries” to end the war in Ukraine.
The Russian government also sent a message to both presidential candidates, labeling Kamala Harris as “stupid” and “controllable”, while advising Trump not to interfere with Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
This analysis of the US presidential election comes from Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy head of the Kremlin’s security council.
A close ally of Putin, Medvedev indicated that there was “no reason to have any inflated expectations” regarding the US election results, as both candidates represent the “bipartisan consensus” in the United States.
His statement reads: “For Russia, the elections will not change anything, since the candidates’ positions fully reflect the bipartisan consensus on the need for our country to be defeated [in the war].
“Kamala is stupid, inexperienced, controllable and will be afraid of everyone around her. A synod of the most important ministers and assistants will rule, plus indirectly the Obama family.”
Trump was labeled “tired” by Medvedev, who also ominously suggested “he could become the new JFK.”
Medvedev continued: “A tired Trump, issuing platitudes like ‘I’ll offer a deal’ and ‘I have a great relationship with…’ will also be forced to follow all the system’s rules.
“He won’t be able to stop the war. Not in a day, not in three days, not in three months. And if he really tries, he could become the new JFK.”
Medvedev didn’t hold back as he further commented: “Only one thing matters: how much money the new POTUS will knock out for someone else’s distant war – for his military-industrial complex and for the Bandera scum [Ukrainians] to cut up.”
Following his stark remarks, Medvedev had previously cautioned the West against underestimating Putin’s readiness to deploy nuclear weapons.
He claimed that the West is mistaken in believing Putin will “never cross a certain line,” but according to Putin’s ally, this isn’t true.
